When I saw the final images, which you can view in our <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/gallery\/emily-ventura-designs-styled-shoot\/\">inspiration gallery<\/a>, I knew she was going to do big things.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Emily over the past year and I can\u2019t say enough positive things about her. She\u2019s detail oriented, knowledgeable, has great style, and goes above and beyond for her clients and vendors alike.\u00a0In less than a year of starting her event planning business,\u00a0Emily Ventura Designs was awarded &#8220;2017 Best of Weddings&#8221; by The Knot and\u00a0is among\u00a0the top 5 in the category of &#8220;Best Wedding Planner&#8221; on\u00a02017&#8217;s Indy A-List.<\/p>\n<p>A Classic is honored to have her designs displayed in our showroom this season. Emily partnered with Sara and Megan from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oldforestfarm.com\/\">Old Forest Farms<\/a> for floral and Natalie Rhodes from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop\/nrhodesdesigns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NRhodes Designs<\/a> for custom hand lettered signage. \u00a0Rounding off the dream team is Chloe of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chloelukaphotography.com\/\">Chloe Luka Photography<\/a>\u00a0who captured the tables perfectly. \u00a0Check out the magic below along with our exclusive interview with Emily!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7021 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Chung-Chow-Favorites-0037.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"511\" height=\"767\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7006 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/0016-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"509\" height=\"764\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chung: Tell us how Emily Ventura Designs came to be. What did you do before you started your event planning career?<\/p>\n<p>Emily: Before I was a full time wedding planner I worked in data analytics and business analytics for 7 years. I was always the friend on top of everyone\u2019s wedding details because I loved weddings that much! After my sister got married in September of 2015 I knew I had to run with my passion. I started my business May 1<sup>st<\/sup> of 2016 part time and by January 2017 I was a full time planner. The support in Indianapolis and among other vendors is fantastic.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7002 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/0002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"574\" height=\"382\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6999 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/0019.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"571\" height=\"380\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chung: What is the most important thing you have learned over the course of starting and running your own successful business?<\/p>\n<p>Emily: Organization is key. I am already a really organized person but it\u2019s on a whole new level now. I have also learned that it\u2019s okay to say no. It becomes very easy to get over committed but I am dedicated to do my projects well and only with 100%.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7007 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Chung-Chow-Favorites-0023-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"517\" height=\"776\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6997 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/0009.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"504\" height=\"756\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chung: What is your favorite part about running your own business?<\/p>\n<p>Emily: Making my own schedule and working at home. I am a social person so I love leaving the office to meet new people and make new business connections.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7020 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Chung-Chow-Favorites-0035.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"496\" height=\"745\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7018 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Chung-Chow-Favorites-0028.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"749\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chung: What is the most challenging part?<\/p>\n<p>Emily: Staying on top of what trends are in and which are not. Trends change so quickly so I try to read blogs, magazines and look at styled shoots to always get new inspirations. It\u2019s also difficult to make all my clients feel loved and special during the wedding planning process. I like to send out gifts to them every once in a while, to let them know I am thinking of them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7017 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Chung-Chow-Favorites-0026.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"422\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7019 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.hashe.com\/aclassic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Chung-Chow-Favorites-0029.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"632\" height=\"421\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chung: Where did you find inspiration for your showroom tablescapes?<\/p>\n<p>Emily: Pinterest. I have a love\/hate relationship with Pinterest but it can be great with finding new ideas. I really love the blog Green Wedding Shoes and picked up the desert theme from there.
